Two years imprisonment for each Expat and Saudi citizen who possess drugs for usage
A number of Saudi citizens and expatriates who were accused of having drugs in their possession for personal use were each given a two-year prison sentence, according to the Public Prosecution of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. See Also : How to get a Sim card in Saudi Arabia as a Tourist or Visitor
Following the conclusion of the investigation processes against this citizens and resident expats on allegations of drug possession with the intent to use, the public prosecution in the Jeddah governorate made them subject to arrest and referral to the appropriate court.

- The Public Prosecution stated again that it will seek harsh penalties against anyone implicated in drug-related offenses and will refer all suspects to the appropriate court.
