Penalty for allowing an Expat to engage in Economic activity for their own account


The Public Prosecution (Nayab Al-Aama) in Saudi Arabia has warned against allowing non-Saudis (Expatriates) to engage in economic activity for their own account in the Kingdom. Trending video : Custom declaration rules to follow while arriving or departing from Saudi Arabia



The Saudi regulatory body has improved the laws that protect against all types of economic violations and implemented the appropriate controls by holding those responsible for actions that might be considered offences accountable, added Saudi Public Prosecution.

- The Prosecution underlined that it is unlawful for anybody to permit a non-Saudi to engage in economic activity for his or her own account within the Kingdom that they are not legally permitted to. Recommend : GACA new rules to protect the Rights of Air passengers

- The authority continued and added that, "this includes allowing a non-Saudi (expat) to use his name, the license or approval issued to him, his commercial register, his trade name, or the like".

- According to the Anti-Concealment Law, the penalty for anyone who breaches this violation is punishable by up to 5 years in prison, a fine of five million Saudi riyals, or both of these punishments.
