Do Medical checkups for Private sector workers counted from his Leaves? MHRSD clarifies
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia clarified its scenario on the private sector employee with relation to medical checkups for its employees. Most Viewed : Annual vacation leave for workers as per Saudi Labor Law
This came in response to a query, received by the MHRSD from one of the user, in which he asked, "Are medical appointments in hospitals and clinics in the private sector deducted from the employee's annual leave balance, or they counted as sick leave".
- The Ministry through its official X (Twitter) account stated that, this depends on the two parties consent or what is stated in the company's internal regulations.
- Last month, The Human Resources Advisor Radwan Al-Jalwah, said that emergency leave does not exist in the private sector. He stated that, in case that a brother or friend passes away in the hospital, a private sector workers are not entitled to take paid leave. See Also : Sick Leave as per KSA Labor Law
- Al-Jalwah clarified that, despite being an employer, emergency leave is not available in the private sector, he said during his interview with the "Al-Rased" show on the Al-Ekhbariya news channel.
