Riyadh Summit condemns attacks against civilians in Gaza, urges quick release of Hostages and Detainees

At its conclusion, the Riyadh Summit highlighted the need for the quick and unconditional release of civilian hostages and detainees and urged all parties of the conflict to protect civilians, avoid from targeting them, and respect international humanitarian law.

- Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, stressed the importance of the Gaza ceasefire and the distribution of humanitarian aid.

- Ritumarsudi, the foreign minister of Indonesia, confirmed that both the ASEAN and Gulf nations had expressed their displeasure of the attacks on Gaza. She added that, the ASEAN and Gulf nations expressed their support for a peaceful resolution in Palestine.

- Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and the leaders and heads of delegations participating in the Gulf Summit and the ASEAN Association, performed Friday prayers at its headquarters in Riyadh.

- Saudi Crown Prince during Riyadh Summit said, "We are disturbed by the increasing violence occurring in Gaza right now, which innocent civilians are bearing the brunt of. In this regard, we reaffirm our categorical opposition to the intentional targeting of civilians in any manner and under any pretext, the significance of upholding international humanitarian law, and the requirement to halt military actions against population and infrastructure that have a direct impact on their quality of life. everyday, and to promote conditions that will lead to the restoration of stability and the establishment of a durable peace that guarantees finding a right solution to establish a Palestinian state within the boundaries of 1967 in a way that assures security and prosperity for all".
