17,976 violators arrested in Saudi Arabia, within a Week
Within a week, joint field campaigns in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia arrested 17,976 individuals in violation of residency, employment, and border security regulations, according to the Ministry of the Interior. Trending : Walking Backwards improves memory and helps in burning belly fat
The Ministry of Interior specified a report of the following outcomes related to follow-up and control operations against individuals who violated residency, work, and border security regulations throughout the Kingdom between 23rd November and 29th November 2023.
1. Joint security field campaigns across all regions of the Kingdom resulted in the arrest of 17,976 violations, of which 10,881 were individuals in violation of the residency system, 4,159 were individuals in violation of the border security system, and 2,936 were individuals in violation of the labor law.
2. In an attempt to cross the border into the Kingdom, a total of 700 individuals were detained, of which 4% were of other nationalities, 56% were Yemeni nationals, and 40% were Ethiopian nationals. 128 individuals were also arrested for attempting to unlawfully cross the border outside the Kingdom. 3. Seven individuals were captured for their participation in the transportation, harboring, and employment of individuals who violated residency, work, and border security regulations while acting as a cover for them.
4. Currently, 51,267 expatriates are subject to regulations implementation procedures for violations, of these, 6,345 are women and 44,922 are males.
5. 45,054 expatriates were directed to their respective diplomatic missions in order to obtain travel documents, while 2,070 were advised to finalize their travel arrangements and 9,343 were deported. Recommend : Saudi Arabia allows pets on Public Transportation
- Individuals who help or encourage border security system violators into the Kingdom, transport them within the kingdom, offer them shelter, or provide any form of assistance or service to them are subject to seizures, a fine of up to one million riyals, and imprisonment for a maximum of 15 years, according to the Ministry of Interior. Individuals are urged to report any cases of violation to 911 in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and Al-Sharqiya, and to 999 and 996 in the remaining regions of the Kingdom, as the Ministry explained that this is a serious offense that warrants arrest and is contrary to honor and trust.
