Procedure to change Date of Birth in Iqama, conditions and fines of Iqama renewal
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has revealed the procedure to change the date of birth in iqama (residence permit), for resident expatriates of the Kingdom. Most Viewed : Iqama issuance and renewal fee in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Jawazat said that, changing the date of birth in the residence permit or iqama requires booking an online appointment at the Jawazat office. Then the Jawazat officer will be reviewed it through the employer or his representative to complete the service.
- This comes in response to one of the inquiry on Jawazat's official X handle, asking, how to change the date of birth in iqama, as the mentioned date of birth is wrong on the resident ID.
Conditions for renewing iqama :
- Earlier this, the Absher paltform confirmed that renewing iqama or residence permit of expatriates is online through Absher platform, with the following conditions. See Also : Is it possible to renew iqama in case of Passport expiry
* The iqama holder must be in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
* Payment of iqama renewal and delay fine (if any).
* Payment of traffic violations registered against the worker (if any).
* The worker must have registered his fingerprint along with his picture.
* Medical insurance of the worker and his dependents (if any) must be valid.
* The worker's passport must be valid, while using the service of iqama renewal.
* Worker must not be registered in the system as Absent From Work or Huroob. Related : 4 penalties for employing violating expats
* Worker must have a valid work permit for the required job.
* Registering and passing the worker's medical test in approved centers.
Fine for delaying iqama renewal :
The Jawazat in Saudi Arabia explained that a late fine of iqama renewal will be imposed after 3 days of the expiry and the delay fine for renewing it is
* 500 riyals for the first time.
