The Saudi Traffic Department says that people who are caught crossing roads will be fined between 1,000 and 2,000 Saudi Riyals.

- The authority also brought attention to violations involving pedestrians, such as crossing roads outside of designated areas, disobeying traffic signals, and not using marked lanes while crossing. The fine for such violations, which are listed in Schedule 1 of the traffic rules, is less, between 100 and 150 Riyals.
