35-year-old Syeda Maleka, who is from Jahanuma in Hyderabad, was an unwanted guest at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh when officials found her traveling with an expired visa and wouldn't let her fly.

- Maleka got married to a Sudanese man fifteen years ago, just like many poor women in Hyderabad's Old City. He is twice her age.

- The woman now has four children, three sons and a girl. All of them were born in Sudan and are citizens of that country. As long as Maleka has an Indian passport that was given in Hyderabad in 2010 and will expire in 2020, she is still Bharatiya Nari. She also went to the UAE for a while. - The date on Maleka's passport had expired, but she didn't notice because she was living happily in Sudan with her husband, children, and parents. In April, she chose not to go back home under Operation Kaveri, a plan that moved Indian citizens during the fighting in Sudan.

- Because she loved her children, who are Sudanese, she couldn't leave them and go back to India.

- She couldn't wait to see her family in India, so on Wednesday she took a Sudanese Airways trip from Sudan to Riyadh. Read : Tax incentives for companies moving its regional head quarters to Riyadh

- After that, she took Air India to Hyderabad, but when they checked her visa, they saw that it had expired three years ago and wouldn't let her on the plane.

A difficult job to get a passport : Maleka's situation was brought to the attention of the Indian Embassy in Riyadh by well-known social workers Shihab Kotthukad and Naushad Alawa.

- A passport or travel document can only be given to someone who shows attendance in person. However, Maleka was stuck in the transfer area and couldn't get to the Indian Embassy. Like and Follow Saudi Expatriates on Facebook
