People who lived in or visited the area were inspired by the beautiful green paintings on the mountain to go outside and enjoy the fresh air and stunning views. As plants grew between the rocks, they turned into flower-covered open fields below the mountain's peak.
- It is interesting to note that Mount Hira (Jabal Al-Nour), whose name is Mount Al-Nour (Jabal Al-Hira), is 4 kilometers northeast of the Makkah Grand Mosque. Its peak is 642 meters high, and it drops sharply from 380 meters to 500 meters, where it starts to rise rightwards all the way to the top of the mountain. It covers about 5 km², and the top of it looks like the hump of a camel.
- Because it is an important historical site in Makkah, it gets a lot of tourists throughout the year. Muslims believe that the Holy Quran was revealed to the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) over a period of 23 years, starting with the initial revelation at Cave of Hira.
