Muqeem changes rule to know the Visa status of Iqama holders

The Ministry of Interior's Muqeem platform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made changes in checking the visa status of iqama (residence permit) holders. Trending Video : Why is VPN banned in Saudi Arabia, know the risks related to it

The new change says that a visa holder will either be in status of "allowed to enter" or "not allowed to enter." In the past, the service that checked visa status could only tell you if the visa was "valid, used, expired, or cancelled."

- The Muqeem portal was developed so that people could check on the status of new visas and right now, the service is free to use. The platform has a lot of services, but the most important ones are "verifying visas, getting a report about the expatriate's visa status, and possibly verifying the status of a visitor." It's also where people can get permission to enter Makkah.

- In the past few years, many services for expat workers and businesses have been turned into electronic services. The most well-known of these is the Qiwa platform, which shortened the time that new workers had to do their training. Recommend : Mount Hira in Makkah covered with Green grass

- The platform changed the column for probation period in the form for electronic documentation of labor contracts so that the maximum period of probation was cut from 180 days to 90 days. This is in line with the Labor Law, which says that a worker's probation period should not be longer than 90 days.

- This happened because employers made a mistake when they set the probation period at 180 days when they were recording employment contracts on the Qiwa platform. This was despite the fact that the Labor Law said that if both parties wanted to extend the probation period to 180 days, they would have to agree to do so in writing after the employment contract started during the original probation period.

- Following a change from 7 days to 3, the platform now only allows 3 days for accepting or rejecting reason for depositing workers salaries into the compliance system. The platform said that if the worker didn't justify within the time limit, the representative of the employer's explanation would be processed immediately. - It is important to note that Muqeem is an advanced digital platform that was made to change the way that expats in Saudi Arabia get their paperwork. Muqeem has become an important tool for both companies and expatriate workers because it is easy to use and offers a wide range of services.

- Muqeem has changed the way people engage with government agencies and has registered over 40,000 users across the Kingdom since its launch in the year 2007. These users have completed over 52 million e-transactions.

- In addition to saving the time and money, Muqeem makes sure that they get correct information when they are documenting their status in the Kingdom and making choices based on that information. People can get to and look over their passports, traffic reports, engaging services, subscriptions, transactions, and payments. Most Viewed : Penalties on Labor Law violations

- The Muqeem is where people can check to see if their Saudi visas are still valid. This also goes for people with an exit re-entry visa who want to make sure their visa is still legal and has all the necessary information.
