Saudi Arabia revises Terms and Conditions for Gasoline stations and Service centers
The new terms and conditions for fuel stations and service centers were released by the Saudi Permanent Executive Committee for Fuel Stations and Service Centers. Video Recommend : Procedure to check the family visit visa status online
The goal is to make sure that the sector is regulated and grows in a way that is in line with global energy trends and standards. This will also help reach the Saudi Vision 2030 goals in this important sector.
- The committee stated that the new requirements help to regulate the process of opening, running, and keeping gas stations and service centers, as well as improve the quality of services they offer.
- The most important of these rules is that, gas stations must be run by places that are licensed to manage, run, and keep gas stations and service centers. See Also : Muqeem changes the rule to check visa status of iqama holders
- There should be a difference in distance between gas stations inside and outside of cities. There are also rules about pumps, tanks, cleanliness, maintenance, quality, and provision of goods to consumers.
- According to the new rules, current stations have 12 months to make changes after they were published, unless the requirements say otherwise. This does not apply to corrective periods for site requirements or station location distances.
- The committee, which is led by the Ministry of Energy and has representatives from the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, the General Directorate of Civil Defense for the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Media, and the Ministry of Finance made the decision to change the terms.
