2 Expats arrested in Jubail for selling endangered blacktip reef Shark


Two expats of Bangladesh nationality were arrested for selling 47 blacktip reef sharks, which are a rare species, in the Eastern Province's Jubail governorate of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Trending : Saudi Arabia discovers Longest cave in Khaybar of Madina region



They breached the Environmental Law and its rules for managing the sea and coastal environment in a way that is environmentally friendly.

- The blacktip reef shark's nose is short, wide, and rounded, and its eyes are oval and medium-sized.

- Officers from the National Center for Wildlife and the Saudi Special Forces for Environmental Security (SFES) worked together to make the arrests of the violators. 

- The Saudi Special Forces for Environmental Security said that the people who violated the law were sent to the Public Prosecution to finish the legal process against them. Recommend : World's highest hanging Mosque opened in Makkah

- The officials is also coordinating with the National Center for Wildlife Development to take over the species that are in its care.

- The Special Forces learned that hunting a blacktip shark is illegal in the Kingdom and will cost you about 40,000 riyals for each species.

- To report such cases on the environment or animals, people in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province were told to call 911, while people in the rest of the Kingdom were told to call 999 or 996.
