Saudi Arabia to reward Anti-drug whistleblowers financially
Saudi customs officials have asked people to report attempts to bring drugs into the Kingdom illegally, saying that people who do so will get an unknown amount of money as a prize. Join Saudi Expatriates on WhatsApp channel
Hamud Al Harbi, the spokesperson for the Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), said, "The person who gives information gets financial reward, if the information in the report turns out to be true."
- He told the Saudi news channel Al Ekhbariya that information about attempts to smuggle will be remains a secret. His comments came after ZATCA authorities stopped a plot to sneak 841,440 Captagon pills across a border crossing.
