SAUDI EXPATRIATES

The Dream of the Desert train will have 40 luxury cabins and can hold up to 80 people. It will arrive in Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2025, and the first paid guests will leave in November of the same year.

- Dr. Bashar Al-Malik, CEO of SAR, and Paolo Barletta, CEO of the board of directors of Arsenale Group, recently signed an agreement in this area. Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR), was also present.

- The deal is meant to carry out a memorandum of understanding that the two sides signed on March 15, 2023. The first high-class train for "rail cruising" across Saudi Arabia will run on a 770-mile line from Riyadh, through Hail, to Al-Qurayat in the north, close to the border with Jordan. - The Minister Al-Jasser spoke at the event and said that the launch of luxury train services in the Kingdom, which is the first time this has happened in the Middle East and North Africa, will add better services and more choices for getting around in the Kingdom.

- He said, "This agreement is one of the steps taken by the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services to improve people's quality of life and back up important national strategies."

- The minister talked about how the transportation and shipping services system got incredible and limitless help from smart leaders, which helped the sector complete its service and growth projects and plans.

- Dr. Al-Malik, the CEO of SAR highlighted SAR's dedication to taking the lead in implementing quality initiatives that come from the company's strategy connected to the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services. 

- He also said that the Dream of the Desert luxury train will be a great addition to the company's services as it gives customers another important way to travel and have fun. This will also give tourists and people who live in the Kingdom the chance to see more of the Kingdom by using a system of high-class transportation services that work together.

- The CEO of Arsenale group, Barrletta, for his part, said that the first steps in making the Dream of the Desert train had just started in Italy, getting it ready to go into service as planned. He said that the luxury train would be like the Orient Express in terms of comfort.

- It is worth noting that Arsenale Group, an Italian company that put more than 200 million riyals into the Dream of the Desert train, specializes in high-end travel, international hotel and resort management, and luxury hospitality.
