8 new e-Services launched by Jawazat related to Iqama, Passport through Absher and Muqeem
The Absher and Muqeem portals can now be used to report the loss or theft of a passport or an iqama (residency permit) online to the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Trending Video : List of Public holidays in Saudi Arabia in 2024
The Saudi Jawzat launched 8 new electronic services on Wednesday on Absher and the Muqeem platforms, the two electronic services websites run by the Ministry of Interior.
- The event was place at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Passports in Riyadh. It was attended by Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif. There were also many important people at the event, like Lt. Gen. Suleiman Al-Yahya, Director General of Passports, Dr. Esam Alwagait, Director of the National Information Center, Deputy Assistant Minister of the Interior for Technology Affairs Eng. Thamer Al-Harbi, and Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Jadhai, CEO of Elm Company.
Four new services have been added to the Absher platform by Saudi Jawazat:
1. Reporting the loss or theft of a passport
2. Getting a digital document of visitors
3. Reporting about an expatriate, and
4. Reporting about a visitor. Most Viewed : Number of workers in Saudi Private sector reached record high in January
Four new services have been added to the Muqeem portal by Jawazat :
1. Modifying the translated name
2. Reporting the loss of a residency permit (iqama)
3. Checking and verifying about visas and
4. Warning to give notice to the employer.
Lt. Gen. Al-Yahya said that these services are part of the development of electronic transactions that aim to save time and effort, shorten processes, improve the quality of passport services, and offer smart solutions and digital transformation to help improve the level and efficiency of services given to beneficiaries.
