Employees in Saudi Arabia to enjoy a long weekend marking Founding Day

Residents and citizens of Saudi Arabia will have a three-day weekend because the Kingdom's weekend is from Friday to Saturday.
- As per a formal order from King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia made February 22, 2022, a national holiday to honor the Saudi Founding Day.
- The history of "Founding Day" goes back three hundred years, to 1727, when Imam Muhammad bin Saud led the creation of the first Saudi state.
- In order to mark the event, the Kingdom holds a number of events, military acts, and air shows that honor the Kingdom.

The third semester will start again on March 3 and finish on March 28. This is the first day of the Eid al-Fitr holiday for students.
- Eid al-Fitr, the holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, is likely to happen on or around April 10.
- Assuming that Ramadan, Islam's holiest month, starts around March 11, students will start their Eid break in the last few days of the holy month.
- Last year, Saudi Arabia said that the business and non-profit sectors would have a four-day public holiday to honor the Eid holiday.
