Eid Al-Fitr 2024 is expected to fall on this date in Saudi Arabia and Arab world
In the Arab world and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the end of the Holy month Ramadan, also known as Eid Al Fitr, is expected to take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. According to Ibrahim Al Jarwan, the Chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society's Board of Directors, the Islamic community generally believes that Wednesday, April 10, 2024, will be the first day of the month of Shawwal. Muslims will observe a 30-day fast this year.
- On April 8, 2024, there will be a total solar eclipse, which happens to coincide with the birth of the Shawaal crescent. Since the crescent is seen before midnight, it means that it will be visible after sunset the next day in most Islamic countries.
- However, this is a astronomical expected date, the final decision will be issued after sighting the Shawwal Crescent and it will be announced by the Supreme Court in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on that date.
