87% of Projects either Finished or on Time of Saudi Vision 2030
More than 87% of the 1,064 projects that made up Kingdom's "Saudi Vision 2030" were either completed or are moving forward as per the schedule, highlighting the country's impressive progress. Trending : Tabuk recognized as "Healthy City" by World Health Organization
Under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Kingdom has made tremendous efforts since the vision's inauguration on April 25, 2016, and this achievement highlights its successes. By establishing Saudi Arabia as an economically strong and future-proof nation, the Saudi Vision 2030 is to transform living standards across all regions.
- In addition to the projects development, the 2023 annual report states that 105 indicators have already surpassed future goals scheduled for the Year 2024/2025, and 81% of the third-level performance indicators have reached their targets. The managed assets of the Public Investment Fund have also increased greatly, reaching 2.81 trillion Saudi Riyals, up from 2.09 trillion Saudi Riyals in the year 2016.
- The number of Umrah pilgrims has reached an all-time high in the Kingdom, surpassing the 2023 target by 13.56 million. Reflecting the nation's rich cultural history and its increasing popularity on the global stage, the number of Saudi heritage sites inscribed with UNESCO has climbed to seven. Even the tourism industry has grown at an incredible rate, with 106 million visitors, 27.4 million of whom were international tourists, Saudi Arabia ranked second in the world for the growth rate of international tourists.
- Life expectancy has reached 78.10 years and health services coverage extends to 96.41% of the population centers, both of which are good outcomes of efforts to improve the quality of life. With 62.3% of adults now exercising at least once a week, we're getting close to the Vision's overall goal.
- Significant progress has also been made in the housing sector, with 63.74 percent of Saudi citizens owning their homes and 66,000 households receiving housing assistance.
