New guidelines for Hajj 2024 pilgrims to prioritize Pilgrims Health and Safety
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has published new guidelines for the Hajj in 2024, with several additional requirements placed to protect the well-being of the pilgrims. Trending : Saudi Arabia is building economy for the future - Saudi Crown Prince
To ensure the authenticity of their pilgrimage, all pilgrims are required to acquire a Hajj permit through Nusuk platform, as specified by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and Ministry of Health.
In order to confirm immunization status, users must also register using the Sehaty app.
The following are essential requirements for the Hajj 2024 :
• The Sehaty app must be used for mandatory registration in order to verify required vaccinations.
• All Saudi nationals are required to have obtained the meningitis, influenza, and COVID-19 vaccines within the last five years. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Linkedin
• Pilgrims from other countries must have a certificate from their home country proving that they had the Neisseria meningitidis vaccine at least 10 days (but no more than 5 years) before they come. They are also need to have a polio vaccine.
Additional general requirements for all travelers :
Passport validity till the end of Dhu Al Hijjah 1445 (June 7, 2024) is required.
• Anti-meningitis, seasonal flu, and COVID-19 vaccines.
• A medical certificate stating the traveler does not have any infectious infections.
- The Council of Senior Scholars recently made a statement stressing that it is immoral to undertake Hajj without an official permit, and this notification follows their statement.
- The precautions are put in place to make sure that the Hajj goes off without any issues and that pilgrims get the best service possible, so that everyone who goes on the pilgrimage has a safe and meaningful experience.
