Over 19,000 people arrested in Saudi Arabia for violations
Joint field campaigns in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia detained 19,050 violators of residency, work, and border security regulations within a week from 18th April 2024 to 24th April 2024, according to the Ministry of Interior's announcement. The Saudi Interior Ministry disclosed the following outcomes from its campaigns of monitoring and controlling violators of residency, work, and border security regulations, which were implemented across the whole Kingdom:
1. A total of 19,050 violators have been arrested throughout the whole Kingdom as a result of coordinated security field operations. Of these, 11,987 were found to have violated the residence law, 4,367 were found to have violated the border security law, and 2,696 were found to have violated the labor law.
2. A total of 1,011 individuals were arrested for making an unauthorized crossing outside the Kingdom's borders, of which 36% were Yemenis, 61% were Ethiopians, and 3% were from other countries. 24 people were also taken into custody for attempting to cross the border into the Kingdom.

4. As of right now, there are 56,597 expatriates who have violated the rules, with 52,152 men and 4,445 women making up the total.
5. About 12,250 violators were deported, 3,599 were directed to finish their travel plans, and 47,582 were referred to their diplomatic offices to get travel documents.
- Any individual who intentionally allows border law violators to enter the Kingdom, transports them within, gives them shelter, or offers any form of assistance or service is subject to seizures, a fine of up to one million riyals, and a maximum prison sentence of 15 years, according to the Ministry of Interior.
