The discount applies on all citizens, resident expats, visitors and alike. In order to get benefit of 50% discount on traffic violations fines, it must be settled within 6 months of time, until 18th October 2024.
- This is in accordance with the orders of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and King Salman bin Abdulaziz, with an aim to incentivize violators to pay their fines.
- This program is an effort from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Saudi Ministry of Finance to encourage people who violated the rules to pay off their fines within six months from when the program began, either all at once or one by one, without committing any safety-related violations.
Following the implementation of this reduction, the Ministry made it clear that Article 75 of the Traffic Law would be applicable for violations occurring after this discount period. Read : Riyadh Airport launches e-Passport gates
