Saudi Supreme Court announced Eid Al-Fitr to be celebrated on Wednesday (10th April 2024)
The Supreme Court in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that 9th April 2024 will be the 30th day of the blessed month Ramadan and Wednesday (10th April 2024) will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr and Shawwal month in the country. Join Saudi Expatriates Channel on WhatsApp for all latest updates
The above statement comes from the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia, this comes after, it was not possible to see the Shawwal Crescent on Monday evening at the Hotait Sudair and Tamir observatories of the Kingdom.
- This decision is in accordance with the Islamic custom of using moon sightings to mark the beginning of Shawwal, the month of Eid, and the end of Ramadan. Muslims around the country may now joyfully and unitedly prepare to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr, the holiday of breaking the fast, thanks to the court's confirmation.
- Along with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates (UAE) also announced that 9th April 2024 will be the last day of the holy month Ramadan and 10th April 2024 will be Eid Al-Fitr day. Subscribe to Saudi Expatriates on YouTube
