Tabuk has been recognized as a Healthy City by the World Health Organization
After meeting 80 international health standards, the city of Tabuk in northwest Saudi Arabia has been recognized as a "Healthy City" by the World Health Organization (WHO). Most Viewed : Saudi Arabia is providing Respiratory Syncytical Virus vaccine
Tabuk joins fourteen other Saudi cities that have received this certification, an affirmation to Saudi Arabia's regional leadership in the Healthy communities program.
- In his remarks on the occasion, Saudi Health Minister Fahd Al-Jalajel remarked that the Saudi leadership commitment to building healthier communities and raising living standards was on full display. He stressed that the Healthy Cities initiative is vital to the country's plan to improve health metrics and lower the rate of chronic diseases.
- To all the government departments and nonprofit organizations that worked together so well to satisfy WHO's strict standards, the minister offered his sincere appreciation. He highlighted the extensive approach that was used, which included improvements to environmental health, healthcare, and city planning.
