4 Arab Nationals jailed for sexually harassing an Asian expat
Four Arab nationals were found guilty of sexually harassing an Asian expatriate and sentenced to jail terms by a Saudi court. The sentences handed down were as follows two were given five years in prison and a fine of 100,000 riyals, two got one year and will be deported after serving their sentence. The case against the Arab nationals for sexual harassment was finalized after an inquiry by the Public Morality branch of the Public Prosecution.
- The suspects filmed themselves harassing the expat as he shopped and then shared the footage on several social media sites. After the trial procedures were completed, the accused were found guilty by a specialized court after the Public Prosecution had submitted them to it.

- The Saudi Public Prosecution states that harassment is defined as any conduct, whether verbal or physical, directed against another person that is sexually suggestive, whether it involves touching another person's body or honor, or any method of insulting modesty, including the use of technology.
- The sentence for such offenses is between 2 and 5 years in prison and a fine of one 100,000 to 300,000 Saudi Riyals (SR), as well as the publication of the conviction in the local media at the expense of the convicted person.
