Every day, Madina receives 300 tons of Zamzam


The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque makes every effort to supply the Zamzam water in the Prophet's Mosque for the sake of worshippers and visitors. Trending : New amendment to increase working hours in Flexible Work regulations



According to the Saudi Press Agency, 300 metric tons of Zamzam water that the authority provides is transported every day from Makkah to the Prophet's Mosque in Madina using specially designed bowsers.

- Expert technical staff collect over 80 samples daily and analyze them using state-of-the-art technology to guarantee the safety of Zamzam water.

- To ensure that domestic pilgrims receive Zamzam water bottles during Hajj, Zamazemah Co. and the Coordination Council for Institutions and Companies Serving Domestic Pilgrims (Mutahed) inked a memorandum.

The Zamzam Well is located within the Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It is located 20 m east of the Holy Kaaba. Zamzam water has a particular flavor, is colorless and odorless, and has a pH of 7.9 to 8. It is therefore slightly alkaline.

- Since the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), peace be upon him, placed his loved ones (wife Hajira and infant son Ismail) in an uninhabited valley close to the the Holy Kaaba, the well of Zamzam, which contains the blessed water, has not run dry, it is known to be the best water on earth.

- Zamzam water tastes well and is also heals illness. It comes by the command of Allah (SWT) for Mrs. Hajira and her young son Ismail (Peace Be Upon Him), when they were extremely thirsty and Allah's kindness descended upon them by giving them the precious water of Zamzam.

- The well of Zamzam is considered as one of the most important parts inside the Makkah Holy Mosque. It is also the most famous well in the world due to its eminent spiritual position and association with Muslims in general, and specifically with those who perform the Hajj and Umrah rituals.
