Flexible Work Regulation amended to increase Monthly Working hours in a Company
A decision was issued by Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, to modify the Flexible Work Regulation. The new regulation would increase the amount of hours a flexible Saudi worker can work in one facility per month to 160 hours. Trending : Fine for Driving without a license in Saudi Arabia
In this regard, the ministry announced that the new revisions included revisions to Clause 2 of Article 27 of the Labor Law's Executive Regulations.
- Among the changes made was the addition of a full facility point in the Nitaqat Saudization Program, which is awarded to people or groups of employees once they have completed 160 hours of flexible work. More than 35,000 Saudi men and women have benefited from the flexible employment scheme in the Kingdom since it was launched.
- These changes are part of the ministry's larger initiative to reevaluate labor market legislation in order to encourage business growth and stability, safeguard employee rights, and make the labor market more appealing and adaptable.
