The Public Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has issued a warning that individuals who issued visit visa to anyone could risk of severe penalties, like a possible prison sentence of 6 months and fines of SR50,000, in the event that the relevant authorities are not notified of the visa holder's overstay. If the violator is an expatriate, deportation is one among the penalties. Holders of all forms of visit visas must leave the Kingdom before the end of their visa validity, according to the security authorities warnings, which this directive follows.

- Beginning from Dhul Qada 15, or May 23 until Dhul-Hijjah 15, or June 21, the holy city of Makkah will be prohibited to anyone with a visit visa, according to the Saudi Public Security. It went on to clarify that no matter what kind of visit visa you have, you cannot use it to do the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage.

- For those in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, the toll-free number to report violators of residency, labor, and border security restrictions is 911; for the rest of the Kingdom, the number is 999. - Anyone found without a valid Hajj permit will be subject to penalties within the following areas: the Central Haram Area, the Holy Sites of Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah; the Haramain train station in Rusayfah, security control centers, centers for pilgrims grouping, and temporary security control centers.
