Saudi Arabia ranks among the World's 20 Largest Car Markets

Over 160,000 vehicles were brought into Saudi Arabia between the years 2022 and 2023, according to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA). The number of imported cars increased from 66,870 in 2022 to 93,199 in 2023.
- According to Hamoud Al-Harbi, a spokeswoman for ZATCA, the countries who sent the most vehicles to Saudi Arabia were the United States of America, Thailand, Japan, India, and the Republic of Korea.
- The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) examined 60,473 automobiles in the Year 2023 to make sure they met all the technical and safety requirements.
