Employers with 4 or more Domestic Workers must transfer Salaries to Digital Wallets from this date
The Musaned platform for domestic workers services in Saudi Arabia announced that all employers with 4 or more workers must send their employees salaries to their digital wallets. Trending : Jeddah Season 2024 to launch on June 27 in KSA
Starting January 1, 2025, the salaries must be transferred using the Domestic Workers Salaries icon in the authorized digital wallets of the domestic workers.
- With effect from July 1, 2024, the Musaned platform, which is part of the MHRSD, has lately ordered employers of domestic workers who are newcomers to Saudi Arabia to transfer their wages to a digital wallet.
- To deposit the salary, new domestic workers must go to their approved digital wallets and find the Domestic Workers Salaries icon.
- Workers can now have their salaries deducted from or increased in their digital wallets, as well as have a portion of their salaries paid in advance using the new service. Most Viewed : Digital transfer of salaries of new domestic workers from 1st July
- Reducing cash transactions, creating a better work environment for domestic workers, and making the process of paying salary easily, consistently, and promptly are all benefits of transferring payments through electronic channels.
- The Musaned platform highlighted that the employer is obligated to pay the agreed-upon salary at the end of each Hijri month, as per the labor contract, unless both parties agree in writing to the contrary. This must be done in accordance with the rules and guidelines regarding wage protection.
- When it comes to the possibility of domestic workers salaries being transferred to bank accounts, the Musaned made it clear that if the worker falls into the category required to participate in the Wage Protection Program, then the transfer must be made through the approved channels, which includes bank accounts. - The company has the option to pay workers in cash or by cheque if they do not fall within the obligated category. Unless the domestic worker specifies a different bank account, documentation in writing or on their payroll card is required.
