Overstaying on Hajj visa is strictly prohibited warns Saudi Arabia


Saudi Arabia has issued a warning to foreign Muslims who came to the kingdom last month to perform the annual pilgrimage of Hajj against overstaying their Hajj visa. Most Viewed : KSA bans tattoos, tanning at barbershops



According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj, anyone found to be in the country over the pilgrimage visa's expiration date is in breach of law and subject to punishment.

- Overstaying is strictly forbidden for Hajj pilgrims, according to Saudi Arabia. The ability to work or remain in the kingdom does not fall upon holders of hajj visas.

- The ministry has issued a strong reminder to all Hajj visa holders to depart the kingdom prior to their visa expiration dates. The ministry clarified that the Hajj visa is solely for performing the Hajj pilgrimage rites and does not grant the holder the right to work or remain in the kingdom permanently.
