Additionally, it came to light that these global problems were caused by a technical fault that CrowdStrike included in a product update package that was released at the dawn on Friday, July 19, 2024.
The Authority outlined its efforts to localize national capabilities and enhance technical sovereignty in the cybersecurity sector, as well as its proactive measures to monitor and respond to cyber incidents. These initiatives are made possible thanks to the wise leadership's great support and care for the cybersecurity sector.
Within this framework, the Authority detailed how the cybersecurity regulations and guidelines it has issued have improved the trustworthiness and safety of the Kingdom's cyberspace, which has helped to safeguard the country's important institutions and national entities. When national bodies commit to stick to these regulations and requirements, the Authority makes sure they do it. Most Viewed : Saudi Arabia bans tattoos, tanning at barbershops
The authority highlighted that it is actively monitoring the situation through the National Cybersecurity Services Portal (Haseen) and collaborating with all national entities to strengthen cybersecurity. This is essential for safeguarding the Kingdom's critical infrastructure, important public and private services, and vital interests.
Meanwhile, at Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport, Dammam's King Fahd International Airport, and Cluster 2 Airports, activities have resumed normally, according to Matarat Holding business.
