Are Domestic Workers entitled for End of Service benefits? Musaned response

End of Service Benefits (ESB) for domestic workers :
One of the beneficiaries asked a question to the Musaned platform regarding when domestic workers are entitled for an end-of-service gratuity in the Kingdom, responding it, Musaned explained that a domestic worker is entitled to an end-of-service gratuity worth one month’s salary if he has spent 4 consecutive years in the service of his employer.
Domestic Workers Insurance in KSA :
The Ministry of Human Resources began implementing the insurance service for domestic workers contracts, from the beginning of February this year, in order to preserve the rights of the parties to the labor relationship. It is a mandatory service for the first 2 years for new workers from the beginning of the contract within the procedures for the employer to contract with the recruitment office or company, starting from February 1, 2024 AD, and it will be optional after the first two years for the employer have passed.
Musaned said that the insurance policy is activated automatically upon the arrival of the male or female domestic worker, noting that compensation in the event of a claim within the first 90 days is through the recruitment office, and the validity period of the insurance policy is two years, starting from the date of the domestic worker’s arrival in the Kingdom and the activation of the insurance policy, and is subject to the policies of the insurance policy. How to insure domestic workers :
The Musaned platform has specified the procedures for issuing the insurance document , which are as follows through the recruitment journey on the Musaned platform:
1. Select the employee’s CV.
2. The employer will be transferred to the Najm portal from here to choose the appropriate insurance company.
3. Return to the Musaned platform and complete the contracting and payment process.
4. The recruitment office pays the insurance amount to the insurance company within a maximum of 15 days from the employer’s payment of the recruitment amount.

6. The insurance document is automatically activated upon the domestic worker’s arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Regarding the period for issuing the insurance document, Musaned said that it is done directly after the insurance amount is paid by the recruitment office, within a period not exceeding 15 days from the employer’s payment of the recruitment amount.
