Last month in June, the Transportation General Authority (TSA) arrested 1,100 individuals for engaging in the unauthorized transportation of passengers at Saudi airports.

The rigorous inspection campaigns carried out by the Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and other appropriate agencies have led to this outcome.

"The inspection campaigns are ongoing and target all airports in the Kingdom, with the aim of reducing unlicensed practices, raising the quality of services provided to travelers, enhancing travelers benefit from the transportation options available at airports and encouraging dealing with regular carriers," the Authority explained. These efforts also aim to improve the quality of services provided to passengers and increase their satisfaction with their airport experience. Trending : Benefits of eating fresh figs

Some individuals, known as "Kaddada," operate in some of the Kingdom's airports transporting passengers without a license. The Authority has stressed that this practice is in direct violation of its regulations.

According to the rules that regulate the operations of taxis, taxi brokers, and guidelines, the unlicensed carrier faces a punishment of 5,000 riyals, as well as the seizure of his vehicle and the expenses that come with it.

Making sure carriers follow all the rules and regulations is a top priority for the General Transport Authority. Most Viewed : GACA slaps 4.5 Million riyals fine on companies and individuals
