Riyadh Air announced its Test flights from Riyadh to Jeddah
Riyadh Air, a new airline in Saudi Arabia, announced on Thursday that it will begin test flights from Riyadh to Jeddah, as part of the requirements set by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). Trending : Children of illegal Saudi expatriates can now enroll in school for free
The Riyadh Air airline will be flying to several domestic and international locations using a leased B787-9 aircraft from Saudia Airlines. Before commercial flights begin in the year 2025, this is a necessary step in the flight testing process.
- "Tomorrow is a historic day for Riyadh Air as we start noncommercial flights from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s capital city, Riyadh, as part of our AOC (Air Operator Certificate) process required by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA)," Riyadh Air announced on social media on Wednesday, September 11th. - Flight RX5001 will take off from Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport and land at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport on Thursday, September 12, marking the first of many rotations to local and international locations that will be operated as part of the flying program in the months to come.
- To its key stakeholders, the airline expressed its gratitude for their ongoing oversight by GACA, leased the 787-9 aircraft from Saudia Airlines, received comprehensive support from partners Riyadh Airports Company, had the planes maintained by Saudi Technic to ensure crew safety, and received the airport facilities and support from Alsalam Aerospace Industries Company in Riyadh.
