Saudi Arabia achieved the 2nd position among Group of Twenty (G20) nations in the United Nations Telecommunication Infrastructure Index (TII), highlighting significant progress in the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure and the effectiveness of governmental initiatives to enhance e-government services. The Telecommunication Infrastructure Index is an overall index that evaluates the advancement of telecommunications infrastructure development on a global scale and functions as a crucial element of the E-Government Development Index (EGDI).

The E-Government Development Index analyzes the overall effectiveness of countries initiatives, pointing out the importance of strong communication infrastructure essential for the successful implementation of e-government projects, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
