The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia said that those who have left the Kingdom on exit re-entry visa and their passports have expired and obtained a new passport should transfer their visa information to the new passport and this can be done through the employer's Absher platform account. Saudi Jawazat also stated that, If the visa information cannot be transferred to the new passport through Absher platform, the same can be reported through the Tawasul service of Absher.
- The Passports department also informed that the complaints received through the Tawasul service of Absher platform will be provided with necessary services.
- This came from Jawazat in response to an inquiry made by the Syrian national, who informed that his son had left Saudi Arabia on re-entry visa and he renewed his passport after the expiry of his passport in his home country, now he received a new passport, asking if he could re-enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the new passport as it was not the passport on which the visa is issued. Those who failed to enter into Saudi Arabia before their re-entry visa expiry can re-enter the country with a new visa, confirmed Saudi Jawazat.
- The authority stated that, such persons can apply for a new visa either to the current employer or to the new employer.
- The General Directorate of Passports also stated that, those whose re-entry visa has expired abroad can extend their re-entry period through the Tawasul service on the Absher platform, with a condition that there iqama should be valid.
