HR Ministry fines 568 Domestic Workers Regulation violators
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia issued 568 decisions to penalize those who violated regulations relating to domestic workers and similar matters. Trending : Saudi Arabia begins the construction of the Mukaab
As per the legislation controlling these violations, the disciplinary rulings included a prohibition on recruiting in 281 cases and fines in 287 other cases.
Officials from the relevant ministry departments kept track on many employers who broke the law by letting their domestic workers work in other companies or on their own.
The ministry then appealed the Domestic Workers Committees to take action against the irresponsible employers. Read : Fine in Saudi Arabia for abusive behavior at workplaces
To avoid penalties, the ministry stressed that both nationals and expats should be cautious about interacting with or cooperating with employees who violate the rules.
