Is there any decision to cancel Absent From Work report? Ministry clarifies


In response to a question, "Is there any decision to cancel the Absent From Work (huroob) report?". The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia has clarified the deadline set after submitting a report of a worker’s absent from work. The ministry through its official (X) platform said that, after submitting a report of the worker’s Absence From Work, a period of 60 days is granted to the worker during which the worker is allowed to transfer the job service to another employer or leave permanently from the Kingdom.

The Ministry further added that, if the specified period is exceeded without taking any action, then the worker's status will be changed to "Absent From Work", and the Huroob report cannot be cancelled. Most Viewed : New regulations of Temporary work visa of Saudi Arabia

Is there any Companion or Dependent Leave for a Worker in Saudi Arabia?

- Earlier this, the MHRSD confirmed that there is no provision of Companion or Dependent Leave in the Saudi Labor Law.

The authority said that, there is no accompanied leave in the labor law and this type of leave is subject to the agreement between the employer and worker or what is stipulated in the internal regulations of the company.
