My iqama is expired months ago, how much fine I need to pay?
"My iqama is expired months ago, is there any fine after the expiry date, if yes how much it will be?", this is one of the common question asked by some expats in Saudi Arabia and its answer is explained below. Similar : My passport is expired, while i am on exit re entry visa
The fine is 500 Saudi Riyals for renewing it after the expiry of iqama (Residence Permit), as per Saudi Immigration law.
- However, there is no penalty, if the iqama is renewed within 3 days of expiry date. One can do iqama renewal at no extra cost, up to 3 days after the resident id expiry.
- After the 3 days of iqama expiry, the penalty is charged 500 riyals during the renewal of residence permit, regardless of its days or months. See Also : Is it possible to issue Final exit visa, after iqama expiry?
One thing here to note, 500 riyals fine is only for the first time, in case of delaying the iqama renewal for the second time, the fine will be doubled to 1000 riyals.
- If a person pays a fine of 500 riyals and misses the deadline of iqama renewal or failed to renew iqama within the specified time, then also the fine will be increased to 1000 riyals.
