The Saudi Professional Accreditation Program, which began its external track in the year 2022, aims to improve working conditions by ensuring that expatriate workers have the skills and qualifications needed for their specific jobs, in accordance with the standard Saudi categorization of professions.
The program's other goals include expanding its coverage to include more nations and professions, making private and public sector employers more aware of the significance of certifying qualified and skilled expats, and providing these individuals with access to the job market in the kingdom.
There are two services that make up the program, and they both work in accordance with certain mechanisms.
The goal of the totally automated "Professional Verification" service, which can take up to fifteen business days to complete, is to confirm the credentials and experience of expatriates employed in occupations requiring a high level of expertise. Meanwhile, the "Vocational Examination" program prepares those with average to below-average abilities for entry-level jobs that do not necessitate a bachelor's degree. Workers undergo both pre- and post-arrival theoretical and practical assessments to gauge their skill levels.
Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Egypt are the five countries that have been admitted to the Professional Accreditation Program so far. These nations are considered to be the top exporters of expatriate workers to the Saudi market.
As part of its mission to improve the Saudi labor market, increase productivity, and prevent the entry of unskilled workers, the Ministry of Human Resources developed this plan. Join Saudi Expatriates News channel on Telegram
