The multibillion-dollar purchase puts the airline in a strong position for efficient operations with the right aircraft mix to fulfill its network objectives of reaching 100 destinations by the year 2030 and is a major step toward its inaugural flight expected for the year 2025.

Riyadh Air CEO Tony Douglas and Airbus Commercial Aircraft CEO Christian Scherer attended a signing ceremony in Riyadh to finalize the order.

Riyadh Air continues to demonstrate its dedication to sustainability through its operation of a fleet that is both modern and fuel-efficient, as evidenced by its most recent purchase, which brings the total number of aircraft on order to 132.

With great excitement, Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Chairman of Riyadh Air and Governor of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), announced, "This deal highlights the airline’s ambitious plans in advance of next year’s launch as it develops a comprehensive international network and sets Riyadh as a major strategic global airline hub."
