The two lines' stations opened to passengers at 6:00 am and will remain open until 12:00 midnight.

According to a statement from the RCRC, the Red Line stretches 25.1 km from Riyadh's east to west along King Abdullah Road. It connects King Fahd Sports City and King Saud University, goes through 15 stations through the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, and intersects with the Blue Line at STC Station, the Green Line at the Ministry of Education Station, and the Purple Line at Al-Hamra Station.

According to the authority, the 13.3 km Green Line (beginning at King Abdullah Road and ending at the National Museum) serves various government agencies and ministries, including the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Commerce, as well as numerous residential, commercial, and service buildings via its twelve stations.

The National Museum station is where the Green Line meets the Blue Line, whereas the Ministry of Education station is where it meets the Red Line.
