Saudi Moroor warns vehicle drivers with these messages


The General Department of Traffic (Moroor) in Saudi Arabia has issued a warning that drivers who are found using their phones while driving vehicles will face fines of 500 to 900 Saudi Riyals. Join Saudi Expatriates channel on Telegram



It is a traffic violation to use a cell phone while driving in the Kingdom, the Saudi Moroor stated on its official X account. "This is a carelessness that exposes the vehicle owner and those around him to the risk of accidents," according to the Saudi Traffic department.

The major cause of traffic accidents in different regions of the Kingdom has been identified, and it is due to the usage of mobile phones and other devices while driving, as previously stated by the department.

The Saudi Moroor also called to leave a safe distance between the vehicles in order to avoid accidents on the road, and those who do not maintain safe distance between vehicles will be penalized with 150 to 300 Riyals. Read: Saudi Arabia unveils a National Policy to end forced labor

The authority also stated that, rain makes the road slippery and unstable, it is the duty of the driver to drive carefully during rain as a precaution and safety measure.
