The Special Forces of Environmental Security (SFES) in Saudi Arabia have issued a warning against the unauthorized cutting of trees from vegetative areas. Trending: KSA now allows foreigners to invest in listed real-estate businesses of Makkah and Madina

Those who cut down trees from vegetation-covered areas without the proper permits will face the consequences, as the Environmental Security Department made clear through its "X" platform account.

The authorities went on to say that "the penalty for violating the law of cutting, uprooting, transporting, bulldozing, or trading in trees from vegetation cover lands without a license is 20,000 riyals."

The official spokesman for the Special Forces for Environmental Security, Major Abdullah Al-Maroul, previously stated that there is a 20,000 riyal fine for lighting a fire without a stove in protected areas and a 3,000 riyal fine in all areas of vegetation cover in the Kingdom.

During an appearance on the "Ya Hala" show on the "Rotana Khalijiya" channel, the official went on to say that, in addition to the risk of park fires, the destruction and pollution caused by burning vegetation directly on the ground has severe repercussions for vegetation cover. According to Al-Maroul, the Special Forces for Environmental Security rely on the community's knowledge as their first partner in spreading awareness messages that highlight the significance of recalling and caring for the environment as a common aim.

Hunting in restricted regions is punishable by fines levied by the Special Forces for Environmental Security.

A penalty of 5,000 riyals is charged for hunting in areas where it is forbidden, according to the Special Forces for Environmental Security's official account on the X website.

An offense that damages or pollutes the soil, impairs its use, or destroys its natural properties, whether directly or indirectly, is punishable by a punishment of up to 10 million riyals, according to the Environmental Security Forces. Read: KSA to expand cloud computing and AI

Additionally, the authority stressed the significance of following the environmental system's executive regulations, which forbid hunting wildlife. The consequences for violating these regulations, such as hunting in areas where it is forbidden or without a license, carry fines of 10,000 and 5,000 riyals, respectively.

The SFES made the point that crossing ravines and valleys while they are flowing is a major violation that endangers life and is punishable by a fine of up to 10,000 riyals.

According to the authorities, anyone in the areas of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province can phone 911 to report any instances of environmental or wildlife assault, while the rest of the Kingdom can dial 999. Join Saudi Expatriates channel on imo messenger
