Saudi Arabia penalizes Employers for not providing Health Insurance to workers and their families

The Council of Health Insurance imposed the fines on the unnamed businesses because they ignored prior warnings and thus violated the rules of the Saudi health insurance system by refusing to provide their employees and their families with the mandatory health insurance coverage.

In Saudi Arabia, businesses are subject to a system of mandatory health insurance for their employees and their families. If employers do not participate or pay their premiums, the business will be fined up to the amount of the annual subscription for each employee.
