10,295 expat violators deported from Saudi Arabia within 1 week


Within a week, 21,564 individuals were arrested for violations of residency, labor, and border security restrictions, according to the Ministry of Interior's announcement. Trending: Implementation of new rules on domestic workers and similar professions



During the period from 23/1/2025 AD to 29/1/2025 AD, the Ministry of Interior conducted campaigns throughout the Kingdom to monitor and arrest individuals who violated rules regarding residency, work, and border security. The results of these campaigns were as follows:

1. Across the whole Kingdom, the combined security field operations apprehended 21,564 violators, with 13,883 related to the residence system, 4,668 to the border security system, and 3,013 to the labor system.

2. A total of 1,477 individuals were captured while attempting to enter the Kingdom; among them, 41% were Yemenis, 55% were Ethiopians, and 4% were of other nationalities. More than ninety individuals have been arrested for their unlawful attempts to exit the Kingdom through the border.

4. The arrest of eighteen people occurred as a result of their roles in facilitating the transportation, housing, employment, or cover-up of individuals in violation of laws related to residency, labor, and border security. 5. There are now 34,680 expatriates who have violated the regulations; this number includes 31,546 men and 3,134 women.

6. In order to get travel documents, 27,227 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions. 2,317 violators were directed to finish their travel plans. Finally, 10,295 violators were deported.

According to the Ministry of Interior, there are severe consequences for those who help illegal immigrants enter the Kingdom, whether it's by transporting them, providing shelter, or offering any kind of assistance or service. These penalties include defamation, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the means of transportation and the residence used as shelter, and a maximum prison sentence of fifteen years.

As a breach of trust and honor, this crime is a serious offense that warrants arrest, according to the Interior Ministry. They are asking the public to report any such incidents to the following numbers: 999 and 996 throughout the Kingdom, and to dial 911 in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province regions.
