18 Million users of Riyadh Metro since its Inauguration
The Royal Commission for Riyadh City revealed that the number of Riyadh Metro users has reached nearly 18 million users since its inauguration until 13th February 2025. See Also: Expat remittances hit highest since 2021
There were more than 162 thousand trips, covering about 4.5 million kilometers on the six train lines, since the network began operating on December 1, 2024.
The Authority stated that the “Blue Line—Al-Olaya Al-Bathaa Corridor” is the most used line of the remaining routes, as the number of users of the route during this period reached approximately 10 million users.

Children below 6 years of age can enjoy the free ride in the Riyadh Metro with their family members at no extra cost.
Riyadh Metro users can specify their destinations on the train routes and purchase tickets via the Darb app, or through ticket offices or self-service devices at train stations, or through digital payment methods via bank and credit cards, phones, and smart devices.
