It is now possible to obtain a death certificate through Absher
The Absher platform, run by the Ministry of the Interior, can now be used to issue death certificates. An initiative between the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Absher platform will now allow these new online services. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Maj. Gen. Saleh Al-Murabba, supervisor of the Civil Status Agency under the Ministry of Interior, introduced these and other Absher services at a ceremony held at the Employees Club in Riyadh on Tuesday.
Among the new offerings are the ability to issue replacement family registers and the provision of birth and death certificates to foster families. The other service includes the lost family record repacement. A death certificate can also be issued with the Absher app on a smartphone.
Beneficiaries can access the processes and needs of these services by accessing their accounts on the Absher platform or by using the Absher app on cellphones, according to the Civil Status Agency.
