King Salman orders naming of 15 squares in Riyadh after Saudi rulers on Founding Day


The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, in response to a suggestion made by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz has ordered the naming of 15 key squares in Riyadh after the imams and kings of Saudi Arabia. In parallel with the Kingdom's annual Founding Day celebrations on February 22, the initiative is implemented.

This order is a reflection of the leadership's desire to pay tribute to the three centuries of Saudi leadership that have been instrumental in the country's founding, unification, and progress.

Their legacy will be protected through this effort, which also seeks to honor their contributions to Saudi Arabia's development, stability, and wealth.

The following individuals are considered to be Imams: 

* Imam Mohammed bin Saud

* Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed

* Imam Saud bin Abdulaziz'

* Imam Abdullah bin Saud

* Imam Turki bin Abdullah

* Imam Faisal bin Turki

* Imam Abdullah bin Faisal, and
