Saudi Arabia announces February 22 as an official Holiday for Private and non-profit sectors


The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia has declared Saturday, February 22, to be an official holiday for all workers, including citizens and expatriates working in the private and non-profit sectors, in honor of Saudi Founding Day. This comes after Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz in the year 2022 declared 22nd February as the Kingdom's Founding Day as an official holiday every year in the country.

On this day in 1727, Imam Mohammed bin Saud officially established the First Saudi State. Since then, the Saudi people have celebrated the kingdom's founding in Diriyah, the first capital, and the strong leadership bond that has bound them to their rulers.

The eternal legacy of the Kingdom is reflected in it, which traces its journey from the First Saudi State to the unification of Saudi Arabia under King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman, via the leadership of Imam Turki bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud, founder of the Second Saudi State.

Saudi Arabia has strengthened its position in the region and the world under the guidance of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The country has made strides in many areas while preserving its rich cultural history and unique national character.

2. Arabian Horse : Horses have ancient roots in the Arabian Peninsula, and the horses have been associated with originality since ancient times, and the imams of the Saudi state were interested in it, playing a prominent role in improving and preserving its strains.

3. Falcon : Falcon is one of the famous hobbies in the Arabian Peninsula, and during the period of the first Saudi state, falcons were gifted among leaders and rulers.

5. Saudi Flag: The Saudi flag is a symbol of unity, belonging, and patriotism. It is raised in battles to raise the spirit of patriotism, as well as in government offices and in events.
